Meet our Instructor, Ellen-Marie:

Most of my life has had an emphasis on fitness and related activities; sports at a young age, skiing and running club in early adulthood, and yoga and tai chi as I moved toward middle age.  My progression has taught me that integrating body, mind, and spirit is paramount to a healthy and balanced life.  Exercising body and breath can lower stress and improve your immune system.  There are many ways to achieve this, and it doesn’t have to take years of training or long hours in a gym.  I offer fitness and wellness programs for women that want to improve their quality of life and attain a strong body and mind in a fun and enjoyable manner.  Classes, small group training, and personalized sessions are available, including Tai Chi for Health, strength, and stretch, and other specialized mind-body wellness routines.

Ellen-Marie has an M.S. in Exercise Science and an M.Ed. in Psychology.  Certifications and credentials are from the American College of Sports Medicine, the Tai Chi for Health Institute, and Wellcoaches.   In addition to her career in corporate and non-profit leadership roles, she has over 15 years of experience in wellness promotion, fitness training, and coaching.  You may visit her website and blog at
